Four Night Wiltshire Walking & Heritage Breaks

Bring your group to Historic Amesbury, for walking, history, friendship and discovery.

This is a part of England made for exploring on foot.

Ancient landscapes, country gardens, old villages, prehistoric monuments and English vineyards are all close by.

Stay for four nights and use the house as your base for a few days of walking, exploring at your own pace, and simply being together.

A typical stay might include...

Amesbury History Walk

Spend a day discovering one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited settlements, with a visit to the Amesbury History Centre and time to explore the town.

Woodhenge to Stonehenge

Stroll through the extraordinary landscape from Woodhenge to Stonehenge, following tracks across the Wiltshire countryside. The walk is around 2.5 miles each way, or extended from our doorstep, with the most exclusive view as you approach Stonehenge, away from the crowds.

For those looking for a premium experience, you can add tickets to the Stonehenge Inner Circle, subject to availability.

A Taste of Wiltshire

Take a leisurely trip to Bluestone Vineyard, with an optional private tour and lunch amongst the vines. Enjoy a slower-paced day, simply spend the afternoon walking, talking and enjoying the surroundings and good company.

Walking to Old Sarum

For a longer day on foot, follow the ancient tracks from Amesbury towards Old Sarum. The full walk is around 6.3 miles each way, with the dramatic hilltop ruins of Old Sarum as your destination.

A lovely choice for experienced walkers, while those looking for something gentler can explore the area by car or combine Old Sarum with a shorter local walk.

English Gardens & Grand Houses

Spend a day exploring two beautiful Wiltshire gardens. Wander through the garden rooms, water gardens and quiet corners of Heale Garden then onto Wilton House to discover the magnificent Palladian Bridge, a favourite filming location for period dramas.

Back to Fairlawn House

Cook supper together, open a bottle of wine and settle in for the evening.

Or let someone else do the cooking and enjoy a selection of restaurants from our doorstep. Our private chef option turns the last evening into a proper celebration.

There are 14 ensuite bedrooms, with a mixture of single, double, twin and larger rooms. The house can accommodate different group sizes and room preferences, from couples and friends sharing to guests who prefer their own room. If your group is 20 or more people, please contact us for bespoke pricing.
